Thank you for this great installation video. Sam is showing you how to install a Mega Slam ground anchor before he assembles a <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.megaslamhoops.uk\/basketball-hoops\/in-ground-adjustable\/megaslam-60\">Mega Slam 60<\/a><\/strong><\/em> on his driveway. The Mega Slam 60 features a 60-inch tempered glass backboard, a 3ft overhang and the highest quality protective post padding. Now that we figured out exactly where&nbsp;our basketball hoop is going to go&nbsp;we&#8217;re going to call 811 and have the utility&nbsp;lines marked so we don&#8217;t dig into anything.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-989b3892 gb-headline-text\">Before We Pour The Concrete<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Grab the installation instructions that&nbsp;are specific for your basketball hoop and figure out how big of a hole you need to dig. So this is the MegaSlam 60 basketball hoop. We&nbsp;have to dig a hole that&#8217;s 20&#8243; x 20&#8243; x 48&#8221; (510 x 510 x 1250mm). This is the anchor system we&#8217;re going to put it&nbsp;together before we pour the concrete base so when we&#8217;re done pouring the concrete base this thing&nbsp;is ready to go right away before the concrete dries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We just cut our 2x4s&nbsp;to build the form. It&#8217;s four pieces&nbsp;they&#8217;re all 21&#8243; so the inside&nbsp;of our form will be 20 x 20.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-93705792 gb-headline-text\">What Is The Overhang On Your Hoop?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Before you dig your hole it&#8217;s&nbsp;important to know how far the overhang is on your basketball hoop. This is the MegaSlam 60 the overhang at 10 ft is 3 ft&nbsp;so the basketball hoop will be about right&nbsp;here. When we lower it down to 5 ft the basketball hoop overhang is 4 ft so it&#8217;s&nbsp;going to be out like this, so we set our form&nbsp;back 18&#8243; so we have more playing space on&nbsp;the driveway. Set your form in place, double&nbsp;check it&#8217;s in the exact spot you would&nbsp;like it and then edge around it. Grab a saw to chop out the roots&nbsp;if they&#8217;re in the way a&nbsp;&nbsp;digging bar like this is perfect for&nbsp;getting the big rocks out of the way.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;At this point we&#8217;re basically&nbsp;digging through these giant rocks and clay! Once you get your hole to the&nbsp;correct size (ours is 20&#8243; x 20&#8243; 4 ft&nbsp;deep), bell it out at the bottom a little so&nbsp;it&#8217;s wider at the bottom than it is at the top. Double check everything&#8217;s&nbsp;level then start mixing up your concrete. Once&nbsp;you&#8217;re about halfway full set the&nbsp;rebar in place about 6&#8243; apart.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Grab your base and set it in place.
